Fikayomi turned five, so we brought the World Cup to Civic Centre. From concept creation to execution, every detail was designed around the theme: a striped stadium backdrop, a balloon tunnel for the walk-out, foosball tables, football lanterns overhead and a trophy cake.
The food was planned the way Lagos parties should be: a main caterer, amala on the spot, small chops and grills, a separate kids' menu, and a drinks and cocktail bar for the grown-ups.
